We’re excited to welcome you to the Young Talents Club Research Trip from October 27–30, 2026, at the VISTA Science Experience Center! Get ready for an exciting week full of activities and opportunities to explore scientific curiosity at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA).

Registration opens on September 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM and closes on October 21, 2026. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The program is conducted in German and is designed for 11–15-year-olds.

Tue, Oct 27, 2026, program time 9:00-16:00
In an interactive workshop with Game Designer Marius Meißner, you’ll dive into creative storytelling, escape game design, and teamwork. You’ll develop your own puzzles, roles, and exciting stories – laying the foundation for your very own escape box.

Wed, Oct 28 & Thu, Oct 29, 2026, program time 9:00-16:00
You’ll create your own escape box, bringing your ideas to life using a laser cutter and 3D printer. Work with simple mechanisms and design a functional, playable puzzle box.

Fri, Oct 30, 2026, program 9:00-13:30 & closing afternoon 13:30-16:00
You’ll finalize your escape box and present it to family and friends at 1:30 PM, who are warmly invited to join us on the ISTA campus. Everyone will get to try each other’s boxes – can you solve all the puzzles?

A shuttle bus from Heiligenstadt will take you to the campus and back each day (8:30-9:00 / 16:00-16:30). Snacks and lunch are provided. Please note that overnight stays are not included. Participation is free and supported by IFIT and Espoto, with funding from the Federal Ministry of Education.
